Zoos and Aquariums we Would Like to Feature in our First Edition:

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL), a charity devoted to the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats, was founded in 1826. In 1931 Whipsnade Park (ZSL) was opened to the public as the world's first open zoological park.

Britain was also the home of the world's first safari park (Longleat opened in 1966 as the first drive-through safari park outside Africa) and aquarium (The Fish House was opened at ZSL London Zoo in May 1853).
